What is the main task of the oxidation period during the alkaline enthalpy oxidation of the medium frequency induction furnace?
Release date:2019-04-26
The main tasks of the oxidation period are as follows.
(1) The carbon content of the falling molten steel reaches the predetermined target
When alkaline bismuth oxidation is used, the combination of mineral oxygen and decarburization is often used. In the early stage, the ore was decarbonized, and the oxygen was used for decarbonization. This two-step decarburization method can achieve smooth decarburization without causing severe decarburization and causing large splashes.
(2) Decreasing the phosphorus content of molten steel
Oxidative dephosphorization can be carried out when the molten steel has a phosphorus content overrun. That is, the slag of high iron oxide mass fraction (about 15% FeO) is used to oxidize phosphorus in the molten steel to form P2O5. Subsequently, P2O5 forms a stable calcium phosphate 4Cao·P2O5 with CaO in the slag, and finally removes the slag to achieve the purpose of dephosphorization.
(3) The content of hydrogen and nitrogen in the molten steel
The use of CO jubilation during the oxidation period is beneficial to reduce the molten steel gas content. When the molten steel reacts with carbon and oxygen, many CO bubbles will encounter hydrogen and nitrogen molecules during the floating process. At this time, H2 and N2 will adhere to the appearance of the CO bubble or be removed together and be removed.
In addition, CO jubilation is also conducive to the effect of homogenization of the internal molten steel temperature.
