Induction heating furnace external quenching: Induction heating is the use of electromagnetic induction to generate eddy currents in the workpiece to heat the workpiece. Compared with the general quenching furnace, the induction furnace has the following advantages: 1. The heat source is on the surface of the workpiece, the heating speed is fast, and the thermal efficiency is high. 2. The workpiece is not heated as a whole, and the deformation is small. 3. The heating time of the workpiece is short, and the surface is less oxidized and decarburized. 4. An induced current, that is, an eddy current, is formed on the surface of the workpiece. Under the effect of the resistance of the workpiece, the eddy current is converted into heat energy, so that the external temperature of the workpiece reaches the quenching heating temperature, and the surface quenching can be completed.


Inductive appearance after quenching: 1. Appearance hardness: The workpiece with high and medium frequency induction heating and quenching is often 2 to 3 units (HRC) higher than the general quenching. 2. Abrasion resistance: The wear resistance of the workpiece after induction hardening is higher than that of general quenching. This is mainly due to the fact that the hardened martensite grains are fine, the carbide dispersion is high, and the hardness is relatively high, and the high compressive stress on the surface is summarized. 3. Fatigue strength: High and medium frequency external quenching makes the fatigue strength greatly improved and the notch sensitivity decreases. For the workpiece of the same material, the depth of the hardened layer is within a certain range, and the fatigue strength is added as the depth of the hardened layer is added. However, when the depth of the hardened layer is too deep, the surface layer is compressive stress, so the fatigue strength of the hardened layer is decreased and the workpiece is lowered.
