At present, all kinds of induction melting furnaces in China are produced by professional manufacturers, and the varieties are relatively complete, which can basically satisfy the production requirements.


Induction furnaces are divided into core and coreless. Nowadays, the coreless induction furnace (ie, medium frequency induction furnace) is commonly used.


According to the application current frequency is divided into 1: power frequency coreless induction furnace -50Hz; 2: medium frequency coreless induction furnace >50 ~ 10000Hz; 3: high frequency coreless induction furnace > 10000Hz.


Coreless induction furnaces operate on the principle of electromagnetic induction. The spiral induction coil is equivalent to the original winding of the transformer. The metal charge in the crucible is equivalent to the secondary winding of the transformer. When the induction coil passes the alternating current, the metal charge in the crucible is connected due to the effect of the alternating magnetic field. The induced current, the current activity, melts the metal by overcoming the heat generated by the resistance of the surface of the metal charge. The characteristics of this type of furnace are: the appearance effect and the mixing effect of electromagnetic force. The former is determined by the frequency of the induced current. The higher the current frequency, the more obvious the external effect. The shallower the depth of the metal furnace charge, the shallower the depth of the metal charge is not too large, and the electric power is reduced. This is the fundamental of the high-frequency induction furnace. the reason. The latter is reflected in the fact that after the metal charge is melted to form a molten pool, the liquid metal is subjected to the intense disturbance of the electromagnetic force, and the mixing effect and the moving direction constitute a hump.


In the smelting, the mixing effect is beneficial to the rapid melting of the metal, so that the temperature and composition in the molten pool are more uniform, which is beneficial to the operation of deoxidation, degassing and removing inclusions.
