How to reduce the amount of impurities in steel in medium frequency electric furnace smelting
Release date:2019-04-26
(1) Reasonable selection of raw materials
When selecting raw materials to reduce the introduction of impurities, the following issues should be considered.
1) Manipulate the impurities brought in by the iron alloy. The micro-carbon ferrochrome produced by the vacuum method has a large amount of chromium oxide.
Secondly, ferrochrome, ferrotitanium, boron iron and the like which are produced by the aluminothermic method contain a large amount of oxide doping.
2) Control the proportion of the incoming material. The return is an important source of exotic debris. The residual AL, Ti, Zr, Re, etc., enter the molten steel in the form of dopants, which is difficult to remove. Therefore, the more the amount of material returned, the higher the content of impurities in the steel, and the worse the quality of the product.
3) Select a cool industrial pure iron with high purity. Industrial pure iron for ingredients also brings in a lot of impurities. Jubilant or semi-cooled pure iron with high content of impurities; cool pure iron followed; vacuum refined pure iron pure.
(2) Make the cover slag and reduce the pollution of the molten steel by the atmosphere.
(3) Strengthen the final deoxidation of molten steel, select multi-component composite deoxidizer, combine with ladle to cool and bottom argon, and reduce the residual amount of deoxidation products.
(4) Clean and absorb the floating sand in the furnace table, tapping port, ladle and gating system (including steel ingot mold), and reduce foreign debris.
